I got a good night's sleep and feel great this morning. made a cup of coffee in the room (good ole Nescafe Instant - and actually after a few days, and awful coffee in restaurants it gets to be very good!)
I had Ramon noodles in a cup for quick early breakfast, another cup of coffee and a small bottle of water.
Then I packed all my stuff, ready to travel - but all I was doing was going out for a hour - but I always feel better fully packed.
I CAN NOT GET MY PICTURES IN THE RIGHT ORDER - SORRY!
The first picture is the chicken buffet booth at the train station. the second is where I bought my street breakfast, the THIRD is across the street in the train station cafeteria - you can get chicken.
The third picture is a self portrait of me eating my street breakfast (two times) and then the breakfast I bought at the train station, an another food booth.
Out on the street there were many street food vendors. I selected the one with little quarter pieces of white loaf bread with a dab of sausage on it and then the whole thing fried crisp. I got 6 pieces plus another triangle thing with something in it - all for 20 baht (75 cents),
Now all of this was done by pointing,
and everyone here around the station can say numbers in English, so it is very easy to get things - now it's another thing to find out sometimes what you are getting!
At the train station I got Red Pork and rice
and got a bowl of soup with it. It was good, and since I had already had a bowl of noodles, and the little fried bread and pork things - I just kind of picked the pork and ate a little rice with side helpings of REALLY hot peppers and pepper sauce.
Now back at the room, I am writing this, and will next take a taxi to the Lao embassy and get my VISA for Laos.
Check out time here is noon, so after I check out I will take my bag over to the train station and check it in to "ldft luggage" till my train comes at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
I will have all afternoon to visit around Bangkok, and will write again from Laos.
Johnny
